Monroe resident Seemal Chaudry, surrendered herself to police on Thursday, Sept. 27, in regards to an active warrant that had been issued for her arrest dating back to an incident over the summer at Shop Rite on Boston Post Road in Milford.
On June 27, Chaudry allegedly struck a pedestrian pushing a shopping cart in the parking lot of the grocery store, then fleeing the scene. According to police in Milford, the victim said that Chaudry’s vehicle struck the cart, which had a 3-year-old toddler inside at the time of the incident.
Chaudry, 33, was arrested on Thursday and charged with evading responsibility. She was issued a ticket to appear in Milford Superior Court on Oct. 25 to answer the charge.
